Known to many as “Safety Dan,” Daniel Brimelow founded Safety Mates Australia nearly 10 years ago with one clear goal: to make safety simple, practical and personal.

Before launching the business, Dan worked as a chef, hospitality professional and construction worker - firsthand experiences that shaped his down-to-earth approach to workplace safety. He understands the challenges businesses face on the ground and it’s this practical perspective that drives the solutions he and his team create.

Today, Dan leads a growing team of eight, guiding Safety Mates with values that reflect who he is: building real relationships, delivering exceptional service and developing systems that just make sense.

Diligent, hardworking and personable, Dan thrives on helping businesses improve their day-to-day practices. Whether it’s through WHS, food safety or compliance systems, he’s committed to keeping safety smart, effective and people focused.
